Accadde Domani

Il 24 Novembre del 1991, muore Freddy Mercury.La causa del decesso,una polmonite,cagionata dall'AIDS. Il giorno prima,in un comunicato stampa, Mr.Bad Guy dichiara:

"Desidero confermare che sono sieropositivo: ho l'AIDS. Ho ritenuto opportuno tenere riservata questa informazione fino a questo momento allo scopo di proteggere la privacy di quanti mi stanno intorno. Tuttavia, è arrivato il momento che i miei amici e i miei fans di tutto il mondo conoscano la verità. Spero che tutti si uniranno a me, ai miei dottori e a quelli del mondo intero nella lotta contro questa tremenda malattia."

La Freddy Mercury Phoenix Trust è ancora oggi una delle fondazioni che maggiormente si occupa dello studio dell'HIV e di una sua cura definitiva.
Credo che nessuno da allora...si sia mai anche solo lontanamente avvicinato alla sua bravura,al suo carisma,al suo fascino. Le parole,in casi come questo,servono a poco.
